The Coriell work was performed with Chao Pang to develop an approach to structuring online catalogues using semi-automated text mining techniques to rapidly develop OWL ontologies. The approach was demonstrated using the Coriell Cell Line catalogue, resulting in an ontology of 29,000 classes which imports classes from other community ontologies such as Disease Ontology, Cell Type ontology and FMA.

This has since been merged with the Cell Line ontology and can be obtained from the cell line ontology homepage at http://clo-ontology.sourceforge.net/
